Thu 19 Feb 2026 10:40 - 12:00 at Meeting Room 275 - Special Session

The latest in the series of computer science curricular guidelines produced by the ACM in collaboration with IEEE-Computer Society and the AAAI is CS2023. Given that generative AI had only been available for a short while, designers of CS2023 could at best speculate on its impact on the curricular guidelines at the time of publication of CS2023. Two years later, this special session explores how the designers of some of the areas of CS2023 most affected by generative AI reflect on what should be changed in the content, pedagogy, assessment and policies in these areas. Given the ubiquity of generative AI in computer science education and that CS2023 has been downloaded more than 300,000 times, this special session will be both timely and of great interest to computer science educators, the audience of the SIGCSE Technical Symposium.
