Name:Dan DeBlasio
Bio:

I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Ray and Stephanie Lane Computational Biology Department of the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I am a co-director of the Masters of Science in Computational Biology as well as the director of the Integrated Masters in Computational Biology

My teaching focuses on algorithm design and development, namely for sequence analysis algorithms, but I teach general algorithms courses for our department. I also teach a leveling mathematics course for incoming masters students, and a service course which introduces computational biology algorithms to biology undergraduates.

From Fall 2019 to Spring 2023 I was a member of the Computer Science Department at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).
