Bio:

Farshad Ghanei is an associate teaching professor in the Department of Computer Science at Illinois Tech (Illinois Institute of Technology), interested in operating systems, embedded systems, robotics, and of course, teaching CS! He obtained his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at University at Buffalo. Prior to that, he studied Electrical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology, and University at Buffalo. Besides his academic life, Farshad is a dedicated Nearu Martial Art instructor. He is a 3rd degree black belt and has been teaching self defense to hundreds of students since 2012.
