Portia Morrell serves as a Project Manager and Facilitator for the Computer Science Teachers Association, focusing on the Mentors in CS program since February 2025. Additionally, Portia teaches asynchronous online high school computer science courses at One Schoolhouse. Prior experience includes roles as a Professional Development Specialist and CodeHS Teacher Trainer at CodeHS, with tenure from August 2021 to February 2025. Portia also worked at Lycée Français de New York as a Student Diversity Coordinator, Computer Science Teacher, and Digital Learning Integrator from August 2017 to July 2022, and was involved in DEI leadership initiatives. As an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College from September 2019 to August 2021, Portia contributed to further education, having previously directed camps at iD Tech Camps and coordinated workshops at Launch Math + Science Centers. Portia Morrell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida International University, earned between 2007 and 2012.
