Fri 20 Feb 2026 15:00 - 17:00 at Hall 1 - Posters - Posters Session #3
In this poster we introduce Exploding Qubits, a tabletop card game designed to help learners build quantum computing vocabulary while experiencing the fragile nature of quantum computation in current, noise-prone devices (decoherence). Given the rapid rate at which quantum computing is emerging as an important field, it is imperative to begin introducing core concepts of the field in ways that are accessible and engaging. Exploding Qubits provides an accessible, classroom-ready entry point that blends play with core ideas—qubits, superposition, measurement, entanglement, gates, noise, and decoherence—so players learn the language of the field and why maintaining quantum states is challenging.
