Promoting Quantum-based Machine Learning through Multifaceted Activities
This program is tentative and subject to change.
Quantum-based Machine Learning (QML), which brings together quantum computing (QC) and machine learning (ML), holds considerable promise for advancing diverse sectors and is driving increasing demand for trained professionals. Despite this potential, QML is still not widely integrated into academic programs at the college level. To help bridge this gap, we create labware in Google Colab that introduces the essential principles of QC, ML, and QML, along with their applications in science and engineering. We integrate our learning modules into courses of various subjects, and host a faculty workshop, a student camp, and a conference tutorial session to promote our learning modules, and the feedback from the participating faculty and students is overwhelmingly positive.
